Sixth Form Study Pathways for September 2019

There are six pathways available to students in the Sixth Form, which helps to ensure that all students are enrolled on an appropriate programme of study that is suited to their interests and aptitudes. The vocational pathways offer an alternative route for students to go onto Higher Education or to secure a Level 4 or Level 5 Apprenticeship. The structure of the vocational courses differs from A-Level courses, in that the final grade is mainly determined by coursework which is completed outside of timed conditions.  This enables students who are stronger in the areas of independent study and work-related skills to excel.
